Our Story

Cliffbeaver began when founder James Clifford decided to combine his horticultural training with a genuine desire to help Londoners reconnect with their outdoor spaces. What started as a one-person operation working weekends has grown into a team of skilled gardeners serving clients across the capital.

We believe that every garden, regardless of size, has the potential to become a sanctuary. A well-maintained outdoor space improves not just property values, but quality of life. Our approach centres on understanding what each client wants from their garden and delivering care that aligns with those goals.

Over the years, we have worked on everything from tiny Notting Hill balconies to substantial grounds in Dulwich. Each project has taught us something new about plants, soil, and what makes a garden truly work for the people who use it.

How We Work

Initial Assessment

We start with a thorough site visit to understand your garden's conditions, existing plants, and your vision for the space.

Tailored Plan

Based on our assessment, we create a care plan or design proposal that fits your budget and maintenance preferences.

Quality Execution

Our trained team delivers the work efficiently, using proper techniques and professional-grade equipment.

Ongoing Support

We provide guidance on maintaining your garden between visits and are always available to address concerns.

Our Commitment

We take pride in showing up when we say we will, completing work to a high standard, and leaving your garden better than we found it. Our team members are trained not just in horticultural skills but in client communication and respect for your property.

Every member of our team holds relevant qualifications and receives ongoing training. We carry full public liability insurance and follow safe working practices, particularly when operating machinery or working at height.

Environmental responsibility guides our choices. We compost green waste where possible, use peat-free composts, and recommend plants that support pollinators and local wildlife.

Let Us Care for Your Garden

Whether you need a one-time tidy or ongoing maintenance, we would be pleased to discuss how we can help.
